Garageband iOS

Garageband allows for a variety of different outcomes.  It allows for younger students to explore and create basic grooves and loops to sing along and jam to.  It also allow for more experienced musicians to jam together on their respective devices. It also allows for musicians to mess around with EQ, balance, splitting, and other various special effects.

Presumptions: Basic Understanding or appreciation/exposure to music
Privileges: Create or program pre-recorded loops.  Layer loops to create a jam/groove.
Provisions: Special effects, EQ, reverb, splitting tracks, recording at different times, jam sessions
Protections: Basic understanding or chord structure and harmony. 
Preventions: Staffed music

AUMI

AUMI is an app designed for people with limited movement and other disabilities to be able to participate in making music.  You accomplish this by moving your finger or head in different directions in the front view camera to play different notes. The app allows for different type of instrumentation,  key signatures, and input resources.  The app has a restriction of only 5 different notes accessible at a time.  I think it could be very helpful in allowing those with restrictions disabling them from taking part in standardized Westernized music.

Privileges: you choose random rhythms and improvising
Provisions: input midi, wide variety of musical instruments to choose from
Protections: knowing what angle to hold your phone at
Preventions: multiple notes at the same time, a selection of notes more than 5.
